What is a Breast Implant?
During breast implant revision surgery, your surgeon will create an incision to remove old implants with new implants. Depending on the cause of the revision surgery, additional steps to remove ruptured or damaged pieces of the old implant may also be performed.

Following breast implant revision surgery, your surgeon will provide you with specific aftercare instructions. You will need to wear a special compression bra to help reduce swelling and support your new chest contour. Most women should take one week off from work and should refrain from heavy lifting and rigorous exercise for a few weeks.

Capsular contracture occurs when scar tissue forms around the breast implant, tightening and distorting the shape of the implant and causing discomfort.

Some breast augmentation procedures produce results that are not aesthetically pleasing such as implant wrinkles or rippling.
